	*Hand Engraved Signet Rings*

Rings in sterling silver or 14k gold rings. Each is hand-cast using the lost wax method of casting. Your arms or design is then hand engraved directly in the metal using the same techniques as used for the last 2000 years.

You can see examples of wax seals made from some the the rings I've engraved on these pages.

Don't confuse these rings with those produced by acid etching the design into the ring top. The acid etched rings will make, at best, a flat line impression in the sealing wax. Hand carving the design into the ring top produces a ring that will make an accurate, detailed, heraldically correct, relief image of the design when used for sealing. I'll compare the quality of the engraving on my signet rings and seals with any in the world today. You'll also find my prices to be fully $200.00-$1000.00 less than that charged by others for rings that are frequently of inferior quality to the rings I produce.

Signet rings and swivel seals take 8-10 weeks to produce.

The oval signet rings are available with 3 different size ring tops. The smaller rings may limit the amount of detail that can be hand-engraved. The 14k rings are priced differently depending on the size of the ring top. The sterling silver rings are $210.00 regardless of the size of the ring top.

14k Large signet ring. This ring has a top that measures approximately 1 inch by 3/4 inch and weighs around one ounce. This is a very large ring. Price for the large ring is $850.00

Renaissance Style Swivel Seal

Patterned after a piece from Queen Elizabeth I, the swivel seal is a pendant that can be used for making wax seals. The portion of the pendant on which the design is engraved is hinged at the sides so it can be swiveled flat for use. The oval portion that will have your arms or design hand-engraved into measures approximately 3/4 inch. Made in sterling silver. The 20 inch sterling silver rope chain is not included but can be purchased on the Chain Page.
