Custom Desk Seals

We make some of the most beautiful desk seals made anywhere in the world today. Each seal is a unique, signed work of art. We only design the seal after we receive your order and always make an attempt to incorporate elements from the arms or device in the design of the seal. The July 1995 issue of Lapidary Journal Magazine featured an article on our seals.

Most seals are produced in sterling silver with a natural stone handle and are decorated with natural gemstones. These seals are 6-12 inches in height.

Desk seals range in price from $385.00 for a simple brass seal with wooden handle to several thousand dollars.

If you are interested in having a seal made, E-mail me and we can discuss a design and a price.

The delivery time for desk seals is 3-4 months.

Below are some of the seals I've made. Click on the small image to see a larger picture.

This is a nice little seal in the shape of a tower. Crafted in sterling silver with table cut, faceted amethyst's for the windows. I made this seal for the SCA Barony of Settmour Swamp whose arms feature a tower sinking into a swamp. The seal, as best I can remember, is about 4 inches/10 cm tall.

Griffin Desk Set

On occasion I will make an entire desk set for someone. This is the desk set that goes with the Griffin Seal above. The seal sets in the depression to the right. The remainder of the set consists of a gilded sterling silver griffin tripod with a sterling silver and glass alcohol lamp mounted with black moonstones. The small sterling silver pot with an ebony handle is used for melting the sealing wax. The set is mounted on a piece of striped oak that has been stained dark. Winged Skull Desk Set

I don't have a decent photo of the seal that goes on this desk set. The individuals arms feature a winged skull above a sable (black) pyramid masoned Argent (silver lines between the bricks). As you can see the desk set is, more or less, the individuals arms. The four winged skulls are solid sterling silver and support a sterling silver wax-pot with an ebony handle. The skulls and pot set atop a hollow pyramid made up of individually carved obsidian bricks with sterling silver wire inlaid in the joints. Inside the pyramid is an alcohol lamp. The entire set is mounted on a 1 inch-thick slab of black glass. Click on the small image to see a larger picture.
